Seng Lau was born in Vancouver BC, Canada, to a traditional Chinese family. His mother had her worst fears realized when Seng decided to pursue a career in art, rather than accounting like his older brother. He graduated from the Fine Arts Program at Langara College, and majored in painting. Having achieved a basic foundation in the visual arts, Seng decided to channel all his energy towards his love of animation, and completed both the 2D Traditional Animation and 3D Digital Animation Programs at Capilano University.

Seng has since enjoyed an amazingly satisfying career as a professional animator, having worked on several successful feature films, television series, and video games from a variety of industry leading studios.

He also feels extremely weird writing about himself in the third person.
